Downhill Skiing
If you’re looking for downhill skiing, Ouray is the ideal location. Visitors can stay in Ouray and ski Telluride, a one hour drive from Ouray, at tremendous discounts. If you stay at a participating Lodging establishment (the vast majority in town participate in this program) you can receive a discounted lift ticket voucher or head south to Silverton for deep powder snow and extreme skiing. Take your pick or try both. For you extreme skiers, Backcountry Skiing in the San Juans will provide the thrill of a lifetime.
A printable guide to skiing in the San Juan Mountains is available for download or you can pick up a copy at the Visitor Center in Ouray.
