Weehawken Creative Arts
It is our goal to provide a wide variety of affordable arts and cultural educational opportunities to residents and visitors of all ages which, we believe, contributes to the development of healthy communities.
At present, Weehawken Creative Arts does not have a facility. WCA rents a variety of appropriate facilities in Ouray County and uses the beautiful outdoors when possible. Operational duties are handled solely by our volunteers and Board of Directors. Subject matter of our workshops and classes include visual arts, fiber arts, photography, craftsman arts, performance arts. creative writing, culinary arts, children's classes, horticulture and cultural lectures. Classes from both regional and nationally known instructors are offered. Please check our website for considerable detail about schedules and instructors. The website also allows students to download a registration form or register and pay online through Paypal.
Membership in the organization is open to all interested persons and is presently about equally divided between Ouray and Ridgway and other areas in southwestern Colorado. Weehawken Creative Arts is supported financially be memberships, class or workshop revenue, fund raising events, private donors and grants.
