Restaurant since the 1940's and the Outlaw since the 60's. The Bonatti Family has been in Ouray since 1904 and owned this location since 1937. Joe Bonatti was a successful business owner in and around Ouray. He operated Joe's Pool hall with his wife Christina; after his death, son Rudy and wife Addie operated the restaurant then the Pick Cafe and Bar. In 1967 the Bonatti's leased it out becoming the "Outlaw". In 1990, Christina, (Joe's granddaughter and Rudy and Addies daughter) took over the business. Chris and her daughter Talia run it now. "For all those climbers Walter Bonatti is related to Rudy." Come in visit with him. It is home to "The Duke's Hat" as well as memorabilia from other fun events. A brick from the INDY speedway on the wall as well as other fun stuff. Recognized by National Geograhpic Traveler as well as N.Y.Times 1994; Sunset Magazine 2002, and other periodicals. Diversion Magazine 2007, Denver Post 2007.
